Sergio Alcubilla serves as the Director of External Relations for the Legal Aid Society of Hawaii and focuses his work on improving access to justice and increasing resources for Legal Aid's clients. Sergio helped implement Hawaii’s court based self-help centers and continues to oversee the firm's technology driven initiatives. He serves on various committees of the Hawaii Access to Justice Commission, is a board director of the Hawaii Filipino Lawyers Association, and is a Hawaii State Bar Association Leadership Institute Fellow. He is currently part of the Hawaii team working on the Legal Navigator platform, a collaborative project of the Microsoft Corporation, LSC, Pro Bono Net, and the Pew Charitable Trusts to develop statewide legal access portals that simplify the process of finding legal help. Sergio is a graduate of the University of Hawaii William S. Richardson School of Law, the Unification Theological Seminary, and the University of Florida.
